Meet Dr. Qutub

A Portland, Oregon native, Board-certified dermatologist Omar N. Qutub, MD FAAD created Defining Dermatology in order to better serve his patients according to their individual needs.

Formally trained in medical, surgical, as well as cosmetic dermatology, he enjoys the variety and breadth of his specialty, and is often complimented for his thoroughness and approachable bedside manner.

Dr. Qutub strives to deliver quality care for all of his patients understanding that a nuanced approach may be necessary in order to achieve both beautiful, natural results and complete skin health based on the patients desires and goals.

Medical Expertise

Dr. Omar N. Qutub is a true skin expert: a board-certified dermatologist. He completed his internal medicine internship at the Johns Hopkins University- Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, and his dermatology residency at the historic Howard University Hospital and Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Washington, DC.

Booking your services shouldn't require a monthslong wait. We make getting in for the care you deserve as quick and direct as possible. You can schedule online, but if you do need to reach out, we're happy to help guide you. We currently accept most major insurance plans and those without medical insurance are also welcome.

Located in the Pearl District in downtown Portland across from Tanner Springs Park. We're not another large multi-specialty group or chain. Our owner and founder Dr. Qutub delivers an individualized approach to your skin needs in our beautiful boutique clinic in his hometown.
